A quick message today, a chara. I was very grateful that filmmaker Bryan O’Brien came to see my exhibition at the Olivier Cornet Gallery and created a special film for the Irish Times website. That’s a still from it above, it shows the scale of the video projection in the Garden of Remembrance and – here’s the link below to the actual film (it’s just one and a half minutes long).
Artist honours Civil War victims with outdoor night-time projections,
That video has also been published on the newspaper’s YouTube channel. I’ve also made a short video of the projection in the Garden. It’s at dusk, just before the light has faded. (If you can’t see it directly below this, you have to click into the blog itself). It’s just two and a half minutes long – and listen out for the beautiful singing of renowned sean-nós singer Sarah Ghriallais.
And the exhibition continues until this Sunday, the 2nd of April.

Oh Eoin, all this work has been such a moving sensitive remembrance, and I’m so pleased and not surprised it’s reaching others through the national media. So sorry we haven’t been able to attend, best wishes!
